Hello world! My name is Mechelle, but my friends call me Meche [pronounced Meech]. I’m an Oakland native millennial who’s passionate about art and entertainment, fashion, and food. I like to think of myself as a free spirit as I’ve always been in sync with my creative side whether it’s showcased through music, writing, clothes, or cooking, I love expressing myself via creative outlets.
I’m also very passionate about helping women achieve their career goals, promoting self-love, and realizing how powerful we really are. As I sit here in my Beyoncé tour shirt listening to Solange’s A Seat at the Table I can’t help but think, what a time to be alive! Black girl magic has never been more exuberant.
This blog is designed to cater to Black women everywhere as you are my inspiration. The topics covered stem from my everyday experiences and the experiences of other inspirational Black women who are at the core of technologies, conversations, and movements that are shaping our ever-changing world.
To the awkward black girls, the college educated girls, the around the way girls, the sophisticated-ratchet girls, the girls with the braids and door knocker earrings, the quiet girls, the loud girls, the independent girls, the sassy girls, the boss girls, the bohemian chic girls, the Hip-Hop Head girls, the Neo-Soul girls, the spiritual girls, the activist girls, the straight girls, the lesbian girls, and anyone in-between, this blog is for you. I have been inspired by the beauty, resilience, compassion, determination, and grace of Black women my entire life. We are the muses of the world. We are ROYALTY. We are QUEENS. We are MAGIC. We are INSPIRATION. We are CULTURE.
My mission is to Aspire to Inspire. Cultural-Muse.com is a space to share your truth, to get inspired, and to inspire others. It is a space exuding positivity and encouragement and it is my hope that each and every visitor will take away, but also add something positive to the site.
So thank you for stopping by and keep inspiring!
XOXO - Mechelle
